Hey everyone!
Just registered for the forum. I have a 1994 Montero SR that I just got back on the road after being non-op for 8 years(long story).
I'm a member of a couple of Mitsubishi forums but they seem to have just died as far as active helpful users. My SR has a few minor issues I need to resolve and I found a bunch of helpful info here to go through.
Thanks

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Here are the issues currently.
1) Speedometer/odometer isn't working. I noticed this morning they did work for about 2 minutes, then quit. Then worked again, then the needle jumped around some. I've done a visual inspection of the wire going to the speed sensor but haven't pulled it or the instrument panel yet. I found some info on this forum about the board on the back of the speedo burning some traces on a couple guys '94's so I guess I need to take a look at it.
2) Fuel gauge needle isn't working, but the low fuel light on the dash does work. I'm guessing I'll have to get to the tank and take a look, haven't found much info on this.
3) Locking front hub indicator lights flash randomly at times, without touching the lever. Not sure what is going on here, some kind of sensor malfuction? I have cycled the transfer case a number of times to no avail. Also, I can't remember what the normal status of the rear indicator lights should be in 2H. They are currently off. I found a couple of threads here about troubleshooting this so I'm going to read up on them.
Any help you guys could give would be great! So far this site has the most organized info on the Montero that I've found.

For #3, your rear wheel indicator light bulbs are probably just burnt out from being on constantly. They're just a silly gimmick. For the front blinking lights, read this. But also don't be surprised if the problem goes away after you drive for awhile and cycle the 4WD system regularly. The system gets grouchy from lack of use, but can often be cheered up.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Here are the issues currently.

I found some info on this forum about the board on the back of the speedo burning some traces on a couple guys '94's so I guess I need to take a look at it. easy to pull the instrument cluster/panel. Just a few screws. Check the FSM though on the disassembly so you don't do something stupid and mess it up somehow. 2) Fuel gauge needle isn't working, but the low fuel light on the dash does work. I'm guessing I'll have to get to the tank and take a look, haven't found much info on this. There's an access panel in the rear for the tank. 2H the rear wheels in the dash should be lit. If they're not then the bulbs are burnt out. The fronts should stay on when engaged and turn off when disengaged. If they're flashing then a signal is telling the unit that front wheels are engaged (although it may not be). In the gen II it uses a central axle disconnect system (CAD) versus the typical locking hubs found in the gen I's. There's a CAD actuator that may be going bad. In the FAQ post/thread there is a link to a super select system troubleshooting guide which you should review and use to help figure out what's wrong. Any help you guys could give would be great! So far this site has the most organized info on the Montero that I've found. Thanks! We certainly try.
