Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am going to look at a 1995 Montero SR with about 133 thousand miles. This is the cleanest example that I have seen in a good while. Loaded, of course. If it runs as good as it looks I might just have to purchase. What is a good price for such a truck. I always looked for private sales(I have owned six) but this is a car lot and they are wanting 4,500.00. Seems high. What say you guys?

im no expert but i did alot of shopping before i bought mine. $4,500 seems high to me although 133,000 is pretty low. i would low ball them and see what happens

Figure on having to do a timing belt ASAP, so throw that at the dealer. Not cheap.

I went to see the truck this afternoon and while I could have got in it for less it was a lot rougher than the pictures portrayed it being. Of course it had all the goodies we all love but a hail storm and bad weathering had really done a number on the exterior. I always go look at Montys when they become available because they are becoming so scarce in any condition.

In my opinion 4500 is way too much for a stock gen 2 SR monty.
