Need a Spot
Hello,
I rarely use either and now they don't work. The fuse is fine.
Any trouble shooting advice or know fixes would be appreciated.
I just had the windshield replaced - but that would not seem to be relevant.
And I had the back off the instrument case, but I don't think the wiring goes through there for either the horn or wipers.

Thanks
Bob

Looks like I can almost say "Welcome to the 4x4Wire..." but you've been logged for some time.

The horns and wipers run through the combination switch on the steering column. I would advise evaluating grounds and relays after a looksee at the FSM (field service manual) available on MitsubishiLinks.com. Download (free) the appropriate manuals in PDF. One of our members hosts that site and is appreciative of donations to keep the site going.

Need a Spot
I just fixed the wipers on my Gen1 SWB. I thought it was a burned up motor, but that was just the symptom of the real problem, The wiper mount/pivots had gotten either jammed full of crud, overspray from a repaint and rust to were they wouldn't move. I removed the motor, both from the firewall and the motion rod, had to use liberal amounts of a penetrating lube, a 12mm socket and both hands to slowly work it back to life. I repeated the spraying of (WD-40 in my case) and working the arms back and forth until I was happy with the freedom of motion. So, before you burn up your wiper motor, you may want to dig in a little, unbolt it from the firewall and make sure the arms move freely.

I did something similar to Dukar, but I also made sure to reach in and pack heavy grease around the pivot points from both the motor access point as well as the passenger side access panel. Makes 'em work like buttah.

The motor and linkage is good. The ground is good. The Fuse is good.
I guess the switch in the next suspect....???

Thanks for everyone's help.
