Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just rnr'd my transmission and there was a wire I was unable to identify it's final disposition - its a 99 Montero full size.

This wire comes out of a wiring loom that runs across the back of the engine and over both rear cam covers. It is a 1 conductor wire with a connector on the end that looked exactly like the ones on the transfer case switches. I don't remember disconnecting it at all. All tcase and transmissions sensors and plugs are installed. It is not an 02 sensor wire set.

Thoughts?

Download the service manual (I think there's one on mitsubishilinks.com) and consult the wiring diagrams and harness diagrams with the color code and connector configuration as clues. Fairly simple, but tedious.

I found it. It goes to the transmission wiring harness and acts to pass the 4wd/2wd signal to the front diff clutch vacuum system. The 4wd computer doesn't control this actually, the switch on the transfer case runs it.
