Standard Asian Metal hubs are best. Maybe the guy that sells them here and ship to you? Look in the for sale forum.

Yup, the original Mitsu hubs made by Aisin are regarded as the best ones.

Aisin's were available from plh but I'm not sure if he still has any in stock or if he's getting any more from China. He's sold numerous copies to many owners here.

Superwinch no longer makes mitsu hubs but you can find aftermarket hubs from Rugged Ridge although i've heard several reports (on hubs for other rigs) that question their reliability.

As well, Toasty on here has reported a failure of his Rugged Ridge hubs. Not sure if they've been redesigned. The Aisins are virtually bullet-proof.

Body Damage is Cool
I have a couple sets of new old stock Superwinch hubs available now.

$137.50 shipped CONUS (and Puerto Rico too) & Paypal. PM me for information. Thanks.

Still working out logistics on additional ChangFeng Mitsubishi (China) Manual Locking Hubs, I'm currently out of stock.

Aisin hubs ONLY come from Japan, the Chinese ones are ChangFeng Mitsubishi. AVM now makes the Superwinch hubs (Brazil)

Good point. FWIW, ChangFeng 'was' a partially Mitsu owned corporation until 2011. They were licensed to build Mitsu Pajeros for sale in China so the design of the hubs from china is identical however, their quality should be considered if you plan on purchasing a set.

That said, perhaps plh can chime in on how many he's sold and how many (only one or two I believe) have failed.

Wow! My website that I haven't updated in forever was linked to. I'm somebody now.

I wouldn't by the superwinch again even if they were available they stick out an inch or so further than the aisin hubs and I smash them on the rocks. They are currently a little broken but still work.
