Would love to have trailready or stazwork beadlocks but i cant afford them. 95 isuzu rodeo, 33in interco TSL, k&n intake, torsion bar crank and custom made shackles 81 chevy pickup, 14bolt rear w/ locker,37in interco TSL, 8in lift,3 in body lift, straight pipe exhaust. soon to have dana 60 front,and 44in boggers! Modifying the rim does pose DOT certification issues. But, it is your vehicle and your life... Beadlocks are expensive. I have been using them for 4 years with ZERO problems. TOASTY Trail Leader consider trailworthy bead locks for $155 each or if you have quality aluminum wheels you can send them out to be made into a beadlock by Champion i think about 200 per wheel IIRC. Either way the DIY beadlocks are a nightmare, they come loose all the time they leak and they are just plain unsafe.
