My stock '95 Montero ECM failed due to a leaking capacitor. A new OEM unit costs over $1,000 and the Mitsu shop said it would be a 3-month order from Japan. Another mechanic found a place in Texas that repairs ECMs and includes a lifetime warranty with it. 3-day turnaround time, plus shipping. $500. Got it back yesterday and now my Montero starts and runs great. GoECM ( www.goecm.com) no affiliation
