I've built lots of Jeeps, but am fairly ignorant to these imports. I'm just tired of seeing Jeeps and always wanted one of these. Again thanks for the insight. I'm sure it would be cheaper & easier to buy already built, but then its not mine, and well, that's just not me. And what a better more intimate way to learn one of these little rigs than dissecting it. I have a nice little shop/garage and my buddy owns a tranny shop, it shouldn't be out of control cost wise. I'd only go LS1 in a Gen2 or Gen2.5. One in a SWB Gen1 would be way too much. When I say a W-code 4.3 in a Gen 1 with 31's is fast.. I mean it. Like 14 sec quarter miles fast. PLENTY of power.
