Ordered one from Mitsubishiparts.com but they sent me a relay instead. PM if you have one or know of one for sale. Hell even the part number would be nice.

Hello sliveraider, I'm currently in the process of writing up a Salvaged article on the hazard switch. It's one of my favorite things to do with these old rigs actually. Taking parts that have been engineered specific for these vehicles and thoroughly used and restoring them back to new working condition. In most cases all it takes is a little time and a lot of effort. Well, sometimes.
You should go look at some of my recent posts. Like the valve guide seals posts. You may like it. Stay tuned.

Go on the mitsubishiparts.net website. Find the number and call them up. Thats how I got the part number. Heads up, its $90.
I think thats a bit pricey, so I fixed mine. For me the arms inside the switch cracked, so I glued them on and then took two needles, heated them up till red, and stuck them through both pieces of the arms to melt the plastic and provide a support. I also removed the spring thing inside to take away from the switch tension preventing another break.

I have rebuilt about a dozen of these switches and got them sitting on a shelf. I have seen all kinds of factors that causes the switches to fail. Most of the time is the all the copper contacts are corroded.

Ed If you are looking for the 1st gen switch, they seem to be plentiful in the salvaged yards. I sent 2 to Jay and the third I cleaned up the contacts and reinstalled. If I see anymore in the yards I will definitely grab them.

Corroded? Realy? Never saw that. Mine and a buddy's both have broken arms. And he buddy had another switch break at th ams as well. Defroster?
If anyone wants to sell a corroded one I'd be happy t buy it and make myself one good switch from the two. Thanks. (Dibs first for the op, of course.)

Hey BottomFeeder, I just finished doing this on Friday. I'm going to go through all of my photographs now and write up the procedure. I should have that posted later today.
