quick questions: upgrading from my 1991 to a 1995. I am looking at a low mileage (124k) vehicle. It's an automatic....so that makes it a 3.5L with ABS and driver-side airbag correct? ![[Linked Image]](http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z310/jkpugh65/DSCF0009-2.jpg)

In 95, the SR models had the 3.5 DOHC, the LS models came with the 3.0 - both were available with automatics. I think ABS and driver's airbag were standard in both models in 95.
95 Montero SR 3.8 MIVEC, Advance headers, 2 1/2" exhaust, Magnaflow muffler, OME shocks & rear springs, 2" body lift, 3" tank lift, 4.90s, TRE front locker, factory rear locker, Roger Brown Rock Sliderz, 315/75r16 (35") tires, Sport big brakes

Yes. 95 and 96sr's had 3.5 and ds airbag. Also had body lift, a/t, and selectrac. Good trucks. Check for play in the shaft that switches the butterflies between the low speed and high speed intake runners for any slop. The bushings wear out, the butterflies start to flutter, and the screws fail and the butterflies tour the combustion chamber and all the valves get dinged. Outside of leaking cam seals, that's about all that is iffy on that model. Other stuff breaks, but not commonly. Should have air locker (make sure the air compressor runs and stops, and doesn't cycle on often when you hit the R/D lock switch, or it has an expensive leak, perhaps unrepairable, as the locker doohicky in the diff is NLA).
It has adjustable shocks, three position switch on the console, expensive to replace, but seem to wear well.
LS 3.0 is a slug compated to the 3.5...

To go with what fasteddy said, you are looking at a low-mileage,, but 20-year old vehicle. Even though the three position shocks "wear well" as fasteddy stated, I have seen where low-mileage older vehicle start having issues that compound when it starts getting driven more as a daily driver. Look at that, you're looking at a truck that has averaged 6,000 miles a year. Not saying to be afraid, more like be prepared.

Thanks guys, that is exactly what i needed. One more question: is Super Select gearbox the same as Select-trac? I am unfamiliar with this but I looked it up and it sounds cool.
