Getting the Wheeling Fever
My V6 '89 Raider was stolen Wednesday night in SE Portland. Plate# SP 20432. Keep an eye out for it please. If you see it please call the Portland police.

I'm still in disbelief about the whole situation. I guess that just the first of the 5 stages of grief. Time to crack a few beers until I move on to the second stage...

Thanks

Dude! That is really unfortunate. Having owned a 2dr V6 (and loved it) , I can only imagine how you are feeling! I think I'm starting to experience the second stage of your grief process for you...ANGER! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Hate to say it, but there is a chance it was stolen by someone you know or at least by someone who knows your vehicle well.

Body Damage is Cool
Hey Captain Orange,
I saw your post first thing this morning and I've been driving around everywhere on the west side of Portland and downtown. As you can imagine, I'm normally on the lookout for these rigs anyway but a special sense of urgency today and I'm sure for days to come. I haven't seen it. I'll keep an eye out for it and I'll do some craigslist searches for parts from your 89.

I really hope you get it back bro.

Thanks everyone, for keeping an eye out. I'm still hopeful that it gets found. The officer that filed the report was surprised that this type of vehicle was stolen (he didn't know what it was, I had to show him a picture). He said with vehicles like this is was most likely stolen for a "joyride" or to get from point A to point B where it will just be abandoned.

I wouldnt be too worried. Like this type of rig wont get taken for parts as just about anything can be had at a local u pull for a few bucks. Maybe a turbo swapped one would be stollen for parts at best. Worst case, you find it on cinder blocks with the rims gone, as mentioned.

Like my mom's e250 got stollen. She was using a u haul for work for a week and when my parents finally threw in the towel and went car shopping they get a call from the police on their way to the bank to get cash for the truck they were buying. What I'm saying... give it time. It will show up on a fire hydrant in a week with a ton of tickets on the glass.

88 Montero, StarQuest turbo, Kormex 5speed +tuff-pan w/phoenix f. stage2 clutch, 4in lift+33' tires, 4.875 lsd, short-throw shifter, Aisin hubs, SR big brakes, gen2 uca's, elantra alt, and so much more... 16g turbo w/hardpipes + 4.90 locking disk-brake axle soon (maybe lsd or aussie front??)

I hope that's the worst case scenario. Lucky for me I was procrastinating about getting new tires. The ones on there are almost bald. Even the wheels are cheap steel ones with a bit of surface rust.

What I'm most worried about is the engine. It had over 270k on it and I'm not sure how long it would last if it was being abused.
