Helped the neighbor bring home an '86 Montero a couple of weeks ago and it came with a spare 2.6l engine, which will be used, and a 2WD KM-145 five speed manual transmission, which is what we're like to part with. At least I think it's still called the KM-145 when it's 2WD...

I have no way of knowing the condition of the transmission, except to say that it shifts into every gear, since I have not had it behind a running engine.

It's either sell it in fairly short order or we'll scrap it locally. Not sure if the internals will swap over to a 4WD manual for the 2.6, but I think they should.

I guess it could be worthy for it. We pulled it off the back of a 2.6, so I know that's what it fits.
