Getting the Wheeling Fever
Jumped my 95 in the dark a few days ago and was a dumba-- and hooked the leads up wrong. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mrt.gif" alt="" />
Tried to crank it a couple of times that way but it would not start.(Duh). Fixed my mistake tried again and it started up fine. When I disconnected the neg cable, the truck ran for a minute or so, chugged and then stopped. As long as I left the 02's cables hooked up all was good. Saw no charging activity on my gauge. Looked at the big links in the fuse box by the battery and they looked ok.(how do you get those things out anyway?) Am I missing something? Did I kill the alt?
Help please

Have both the alternator and the battery tested. You may have done them both in.
