So not having the space or time todo the swap myself I took the truck to my mechanic. They called me few hours in and said there was problem. The bolts the hold the uca on from the gen 1 were to small for the gen 2 has anyone else had this problem? The gen 2 are ac delco parts if that matters.

Its not a problem, its part of the job. The bolts are too short, plus you'll need to add some shims in to get the alignment right. I forget, like one inch longer bolts?

The holes in the new arms are bigger they allow a bit of play. We decided to drill out the truck to fit the arms.

1morebike,
what part numbers did you install?
what year / model / engine?
I'm getting conflicting info and I'm looking for a solid part # or definitive donor truck description.

How did they work out?
