My daughter gave up on her Montero 4-door after we found water in the engine a few years ago, after the hood blew off during a rain storm. Sad to see the cylinders filled up in the then recently rebuilt engine.

Fast forward to this summer, and I saw my daughter sitting in my Raider, apparently liking the fit.

She'll be 18 soon enough and wants to work on Roxy. Pulled Roxy out of side yard storage today...

I have a Starion long block that we'll use to replace the worn NA 2.6L, and will reinstall with the carb for ease. After 3.5 years of sitting and previously skipped maintenance items, we'll have to see what else I'm getting into with my daughter's no budget project.

My lovely wife, tells me she'd like to drive hers...we've owned her 4-door about seven years.

This may become a 'rebuild' thread...
