Need a Spot
|
Hi,
Needing some info from the Toyota experts on a project I'm working on.
I'm needing an auto bell housing for a 22r motor to a4od trans. Acquired one but it maybe and I hope is , wrong.
My question, where is the starter on an auto 4x4 w 22r? driver or pass side? The bellhousing I've got has it on the dr side. I need it to be on the pass side and can't find any photos or info to confirm. plenty show the mt with starter on pass.
do I simply have the wrong bellhousing?
Thanks.
David

Body Damage is Cool

It's been a while since my pickup was auto, but yes, the starter is on the passenger side for both manual and auto. Exhaust routes down the driver side. I don't remember if the auto trans had a removable bell housing or not. I have a feeling that they didn't, but it's been a while.
Hope this helps,
Todd
