Tomorrow morning, i will be looking at a new rig to update from the old Gen1. I like the tall car with gutters so i can mount my thule roof rack. The guy is asking $3700.

The good, bad, ugly:
Body great, no rust or dents, he thinks is has never been in a wreck. 178kmi, but it was a highway pilot car so engine is excellent cond, doesn't burn any oil.

He said that the top end was gone through by the P.O. but doesn't know what was done. Doesn't know if the t-belt has been done. there is a small crack in the lower windscreen but not in view when driving. small oil leak, not sure where. Experience is that it could be cam seals. rear door latch in back is broken on the outside so it has to be opened from the inside, needs fixed. Tires have 1000 miles on them, Not sure what brand yet. AC and heat work.

If all this is true, any opinions if this is a fair price? he may take 3400-3500. It really looks to be in great shape from pics and chatting on the phone.

This is a nice trim package with leather, heated seats, gauges, large (non-leaking he says) moon roof, etc. thanks for your opinions!! Pictures coming if i buy it!

I paid $4000 for my 2000 with 108,000 miles on it. It needed an alternator almost immediately. Also, no locker on the 2000 (I swapped in a locked axle).
