Getting the Wheeling Fever
So my 97 SR is a piece of crap but so be it. I bought it from a kid who had no clue as to what he was doing and I have been continuously unclusterf**king it.It only cost me $1200 but my gosh, the kid was clueless. So, I have a spare tier carrier but not bolts to hold the tire. When I bought the piece of crap the spare was on the right rear axle. There were 3 different tires on the beast. I now have 5 tires of the same size and make.

Another thing that has been driving me absolute bonkers is the headlight stalk will not go forward for the high beams. Has anyone else had this issue? I can tell the trim around the steering wheel has been off, so has the center console and the trim and bezels around the HVAC and radio. I'm almost afraid to remove it all and see what mess I have to straighten out.

The good news is I got everything else working nicely except the AC which just may need a charge. Once things are corrected on the interior I will move to the exterior and correct things as weather allows. Thanks for the help.

Should I be concerned about the crank bolt on this puppy?

Regards,

Dwight

If'n you are talking about the 6 on the tailgate, they are 8mm X 40mm-ish.Little longer won't hurt.

Do you know what thread? I just tried a 10 x 1.5 and it was super loose. I could almost slide it in and out freely. I only have 3 threaded holes in mine. I'm thinking I might need a 12 x 1.5.

Ahhhh, you are talking of the3 that actually hold the wheel on. Yes, those are 12 x 1.5.

Thanks Jon. Is there anything else in your garage you want to get rid of? Lol. This this needs a lot of help. I'm getting it back together piece by piece though and the bolts will help me get my spare out of the back. I'm ordering a spare tire cover this week.
Regards,

Dwight

Dwight you should drop by sometime. All kind of things hanging around in there.

I found them but they are earmarked for something. Let double check if they are still needed.
