Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anyone interested in a drive to a water spit this month? I'd like to check out Sheeps bridge. I've never done it, only read. It sounds fun and the verde with hot springs is a bonus.

New shocks arrive next week <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

This is a perfect cruise ride. I'll make sure Jorge clears his schedule and we'll take his truck. If we can get anything else running, it's a totally tubular run to make sure nothing falls off, and if it does, we can find it and bolt it back on.

Johnny B,

The shocks have arrived. What was the trick on the fronts you mentioned?

Everything looks pretty straightforwardà I think I'm slating Thursday as the day.

As to the fronts, compress them fully and be ready with a piece of stout wire already connected to the bottom shock eye. When the shocks bottom out, hold them there while your assistant quickly wraps the wire around the top shock post so the shocks can't expand.

When you install the front shocks, have them in position so when you cut the wire, the top mount expands into the hole in the top mount.

Or you could just bring them over here. I've done it a bunch.

Any chance we could do the Sheep Bridge run on Sunday? It's looking like the better of the two weekend days so far.

We got Castleroxx's shocks in yesterday. This trip was his idea, but he's still checking for clearance, Clarence (from the GF).

Well, I guess it's just going to have to be a play-it-by-ear kinda day on Sunday. I saw RyanY today, Castleroxx did a drive-by and Lordtrunks got his tile laid, but there's still nothing set for tomorrow. We'll see, I guess? Hey Pa_Jero, how about doing that easy run from Superior back towards Box Canyon, the one we got snowed on a couple of years ago?

Never mind that post above. Jorge wants to go fishing, so we're going to do the Sheep Bridge run. Leaving home at 9 a.m., so get ahold of me if you're in.

Sheep Bridge Run is in the books. '89 Raider V-6 = flawless performance. The only casualty was my old Flip Video camera that didn't seem to be able to hang on to the Velcro on the front bumper. We looked for it on the way back, but it either became dust or someone picked it up and is currently wondering what the he!! is recorded on it. That sucka served me well for many years, so I guess I got my $35 worth out of it.
