I recently purchased this TMIC setup off of ebay :

The question I have is, I live in WA state so there is a *small* possiblity of finding a hood with a scoop in Canada. I also have an extra hood that I could add a scoop to. What do you guys think I should do? Or does anyone have a hood with scoop they'd like to sell? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I've got a small FMIC that someday (maybe this spring) I plan to install. Its small enough that I could probably use it as a TMIC if I fab'ed up some brackets... A proper diesel (Canada-JDM) hood would be nice.

How do those fins look? From the photo it seems that a fair amount are folded over but maybe that is just the lighting. I have seen these on Ebay and almost went that route.

A local machinist said he would have made me a custom aluminum scoop for $100 so maybe you can find a local guy who can do a fabrication.

I just fired up my engine today for the first time with the new front mount and the K&N Apolo and she roared right up and revved smooth which is real exciting.
I have not yet attached the exhaust but I have an intercooler temp gauge which measures the air coming in and out so I can report back how well my front mount is working. Intercooler Temp Gauge

Awesome! Im interested in the Apollo for the air filter housing, I just have a crappy cone filter on mine. The fins are a little bit bent only on the top, they look good through to the other side though, I actually have a second core. I ended up having to also buy this intake:

This is a word to the wise for anyone that doesn't want to fabricate their intake manifold. In addition to this, I'll have to create a flat cover for where what I think is the EGR used to be.
