Body Damage is Cool
I noticed on takeoff from a stop, I'm getting some new shuddering or a feeling of something shifting in the rear end.

I was pushing things around and noticed the 3rd link (or whatever the arm on the TOP of the rear differential is called) has the rubber bushings in it broken.

They aren't broken too badly, but enough to let there be maybe 1/8" of play in the link on each end.

Does that sound like enough play to cause problems like shuddering at take off? Anybody know where to get these bushings to replace them? Thanks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

It could, as I believe that short linkage stabilizes and cushions the axle body's forward and rearward rotation when the rear wheels accelerate and decelerate. A single bushing is about $17-$20 new (online). And the complete arm from a bone yard (pick-n-pull or the pull your own part yards) should be about the same, I think.
