Body Damage is Cool
Well I changed out my front bearings. Destroyed the brake rotors getting those off , so I did the brake rotors and pads too (rotors had never been done in 140k miles neither had the bearings).

I still don't know if the bearings needed changing, but the front wheels had a lot of play. Not sure if I got the wheel bearing nut on the right tightness. The manual described using tools to measure preload and run out, I screw that.

What procedure do you guys use to get the right tightness?

Btw the whole reason I went to change the bearings was I was hearing a clicking noise when moving, thought it was front bearing. Turned out it was the rear universal joint but it stopped when I greased the zert. Sigh. Well the bearings were ancient anyway and so were the brakes, so it should save me future work.

I hope that universal joint isn't going bad, I just had the stupid thing replaced like a year ago
