Thanks so much! The thread you referenced is the one I as looking for, but failed to find. I remembered reading it months ago, but could not make the connection. Good information there, as well as good links to other discussions.

BTW, I was really unsure about my wheel width measurement, so I checked out the CORRECT way to measure wheel width and I originally did it wrong. The wheels I want to use are actually 7" wide, not 8". 8" is the OVERALL width, the bead-to-bead width is 7.

I feel a lot better about the wheels and will move ahead with using them. Will send results to the group in case someone else can benefit from it.

If you are purchasing aftermarket rims, the 8" width / 4" backspace and 31" all-terrains really increased the handling of my Raider. Once I installed the V6 sway bar in the front, Roxy made a fairly formidable canyon racer.
