Trying to find an old post that I guess I didn't 'favorite'. One of you gurus was talking about timing belt replacement, and using the old tensioner to get everything in place, then swapping to the new one for final adjustment. Anyone know which thread I'm talking about? I've searched but haven't found it.

"Set your new belt and all with a old tensioner... Once you have all the cam timing on right that on a good day takes three trys .. ...You hand roll your motor a time or three to see all is on time ...Then.... Get some help to wholed the cams and pull the old tensioner out and install the new tensioner ... Now you have just install a new tensioner and never had to push in the bladder to fast and dick up the tensioner ... No ......Is this Greek ,,,,?"

Thought there was more to it than that smile.
