Need a Spot
Ok folks, I have searched and searched, but I can't find exactly what I need. I've read everything, I think, concerning the Weber conversion. I happened upon a new 38 dges for $100!!! So, I'm gonna make it work. Knew there were going to be issues with the kick down linkage, since I have an automatic transmission. I figured that I would have to get creative. I guess that I'm not as creative as I thought. Are there any pics or crayon drawings, on here, that can show me how anyone else has done it? Or maybe someone could point me to the right post.
Another thought: Is that linkage just for "passing gear kickdown"? Or is it all gears?

Thanks in advance.

The linkage controls the shift point for all gears. More throttle = later shift point. I used a wire tie loosely looped thru the linkage. I'll try to get a pic for you.

That would be great! Thanks for the response.My Weber is a 38 DGAS, not DGES, as I stated. I'm not even sure of the difference yet, but for $100, I did not hesitate.

Body Damage is Cool
DGES = electric choke
DGAS = water choke

I also used a cable stop attached to the throttle, it's very easy. It just happened naturally every time so i never thought to take a picture, sorry about that. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
