As a disclaimer, I did not waste my time watching the GOP debate knowing I would receive a large dose of pundit observations from the extremes of both parties. Yup, got that right. And, for me I have to ask, "At this point, what difference does it make?" Unlike the wannabe, entitlement perspective candidate that first uttered those words, being in California, the GOP candidate will be selected by other states that have primaries before Cali's June date. What I do find interesting is the wealth of emotion, especially from the Dem side, that is attacking the GOP and especially The Donald.
I stress the word "emotion". I have seen NO positions from either party that address the economy and jobs. Bernie Sanders comes close and will even admit he is a Socialist and expects the government to grow bigger and solve all social ills. The rest of the potential Dems fall in line with that thinking but are afraid to admit they are Socialists.
As for the GOP, they have a cacophony of sound bites with no substance. Illegals are taking jobs; not really, there are no jobs to be taken. Look at the just released job numbers.
Step back from the political spin and put the past decade in perspective. As government has grown, more jobs are lost. As the number of regulations increase, growth opportunities decrease.
Both parties need to pull their heads out of their collective backsides, set aside the emotional rhetoric, and address the economy.
The Trans Pacific Trade Pact is not addressing the economy. Re authorizing the Export-Import Bank is not addressing the economy.
Government of the people, by the people, for the people.... Government, get your job-killing bureaucracy shut down and let the people by free to create jobs and grow the economy...
And, that's my opinion....
