Need a Spot
Hey guys, been a bit... Great looking site! Did a whole rebuild on my 90 SWB which was a topic of discussion a few months back. Ill report on it soon, just been a bit hectic. But, I was curious to know if anybody has a lead on the old mirrors on the Gen 1's. Not the big ford pickup looking ones with the large protruding bracket, but the tall black ones. My 87 has some funky, regular car ones that I can't see out of as they only come halfway up over the window. Anybody know where I could find some, or if any of you have two (right, left) that I could pay you for? I would GREATLY APPRECIATE it.

I thought 89 was the last year of the SWB in the us. Maybe yours just squeaked in, cool.
I don't believe the mirrors your looking for were available in the us. They can be found occasionally. The foreign ebay sites can have them. May help if you look for pajero or shogun pillar mirror rather then montero.

Yea, you know I've questioned that too. Because all the registration paperwork says 1990, and then when the vin gets run, something skrews up, EVERY DAMN TIME. And, I think the door jam info might have been scratched or something, but I will have to double check. Anyways, I was wondering why they were so hard to find. I really really appreciate that info. Hopefully I'll have some luck.

The LKQ yard here in OKC has a 1990 with those mirrors. I raped it of all teh other stuff but the mirrors were still there.

BTW, to post an image the url MUST end with either a .jpg or .gif. Your url doesn't and thats why we don't see an image in your post.

In fact, that URL doesn't work AT ALL!?!?
