blush O.K. Mia Culpa I Forgot To Put In A Topic ??
sorry ...But I Did Find The Answer to my question which was ,
About the lower plenum and the six butterfly valves ...and if anyone has tried to resolve the problem differently than replacing everything ...

MITSUBISHI and it`s dealers are no help ...but you most likely know this !!!
I have come to find out that an auto engineer calls this system ( OLD TECHNOLOGY ) He said You Can Either remove said valve system or keep them fixed in an open position , they were designed to help with cold air and modulate as air temp changes ....not really necessary on low torque /low powered engines ...there may be some gas mileage changes but these cars are not economy anyway ... thanks for the responce ...Oneonta ,ny city of the hills

Yup, can either remove them, find a way to lock them in place or replace the whole assembly. I toyed with the idea of swapping in a different bushing fabricated from sintered bronze or some similar solution that was as permanent and reliable but simply didn't have the time nor inclination to really flush that all out and do it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I removed the valve plates, clamped the shaft into my vise and had at it with a hacksaw. I reinstalled the dashpot (what those vacuum actuators are called) onto the front of the plenum to keep the smog guys happy, and went on my way. I haven't noticed any difference. It had been repaired once before. Too bad Mitsu didn't put sealed bearings in the darn things to begin with!

I'm sorry, but this makes absolutely no sense to me. My understanding is it has to do with how deep your foot is in the throttle, and how the air is allowed in. "Modulate with temperature changes?
