Is is possible to use an automatic transmission with the 4d55t in a Raider. If so, do you have to use a custom built torque converter? Thanks!

Yes it will bolt right up to the stock AT. I have a 4D56T in my 88, I used the stock TC. Drivability would probably be better with a custom TC. That said am looking for a stock 5spd.

Just curious why your changing to a 5spd? Is it because of drivability?
