I have an 84' 2wd longbed. Tailgate has the 2 latches and hooks. I need to replace it. Will a pre -84 tailgate work? The '83 model was the last year to use that latch style, the '84 model year and forward all had the single center latch. The '84-88 models could come with the "import bed" but while it was similar in looks to the double latch bed, it came with the single tailgate latch. More than tread lightly.
