I had a great time meeting many of you guys and taking a look at all of your rigs. I was really impressed with the work that yall have done to your trucks. I would especially like to thank those that provided meals and things of that nature. All the people were very nice to my friend and I and it was greatly appreciated. I will definitely try to make it to the next Uwharrie as it isn't as far from Columbia as one would think. I was one of the lucky ones during the Saturday run of "Daniel". I only revcieved a little bit of fender "rearrangement" due to a tree right next to the ledge that most everyone got stuck on. While I was being pulled up it, somehow I wasn't paying attention or something and rolled back into the tree. Also noticed on the ride home that the lower ball joints are "extremely" worn and are popping like crazy. Oh well, everyone has something to fix after a trip like this. Again, thanks everyone for the good time.
Brad
PS. If anyone has any pics of my Red 2 Gen Trooper could you PM me please. Thanks again.
Oh and Bansil...I still can't taste anything after scalding my tongue on your soup. The feeling of searing the flesh off of my taste buds is one I won't likely forget for a while.

Rubo is on his way to Smileys... Rubo made it out of here at about 9:30 or so last night, headed for NYCà The looseness in the front end of the RuboÆcon turned out to be a boogered Idler Arm û so unless something else cropped-up along the way, he should be arriving there shortly. --- He said heÆd post-up and let us know (if) he made it.
Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

Thanks for the awesome chili on Friday night when I arrived. This was my first trip to Uwharrie and I had a great time. I was with Mark Z. in my 85 Toy 4Runner (yellow). I was really surprised to see people hitting the hard trails in lightly modified Iszuzus. Sorry I did not get to hang out and get to know everyone but I will be back, I had a great time. Mark and the Winnie made it back with no problems. Thanks a ton Mark for letting me camp with you and Mary, you were great hosts.

I broke everything 20 minutes into the first trail, I bent the rear springs, popped a tie rod, and broke something in the rear axle. 2 minutes after that, I bounced against a tree a bit too hard and shattered my cargo window. Got home and went to unload it from the trailer, and it didn't want to move. The lockright was stuck in ratchet mode. Almost had to put it in 4wd, but it finally engaged. Heres a few pics, I'm uploading the rest. Would be a real cool pic if that tree weren't in the way. Lining up before running Daniel. JoeD said he's going down December 3rd for Janet's birthday. I'm thinking bout heading down too. Anyone else crazy enough?

Well, i finaly made it back to NYC.
Half way in Maryland the alternator belt adjuster bolt got loose & disappeared (i guess i didn't tighten it good enough when replacing the fan pulley bracket). I put as much tention using a pry bar & tightened the two bolts (apperantly not tight enough 'cause it scueels when i first start it). Will fix it tomorrow.
Wanna thank Smiley & Doug for providing a shelter, Doug for finding the much needed idler bracket, Joe (BigpoppaX2) for the garage to change my diff cover. Tad for letting me abuse the tires once again. And every one else who was there, thank you for your company & hope you enjoyed the entertainment provided by me both on the trails & in camp.

Mike - I didn't realize you sacraficed a window as well as the rest I hope the rear axle damage is not too serious. Maybe it will give you the chance to upgrade
Rubo - glad you finally made it home. There is truly never a dull moment with you around I hope you never have occasion to compliment my driving style You better get to work, next time I want to see the Amigo hit the trails.

Anyone else crazy enough? Sounds very tempting.......... but my wheeling is done for the season(I think ). Who knows.... I need to get my 4.30's installed so I can actually drive on the highway in 5th and not have to downshift....
