Those of you that said it looks somewhat like Arizona; I agree. The lack of dense vegetation makes the wheeling a little more fun for me. I hate driving through thick manzanita, brush, etc.
How is the 5 speed 4runner working out for you ?
Love it. Compared to my Xtra Cab pickup, the shorter wheelbase and tighter turning radius made it much easier to negociate the tight trails. I noticed the softer coil suspension soaked up the terrain a little better and the whole truck would lean less on the larger obstacles. There were places I was expecting to need the rear locker, but somehow it made it through without. I think it's a combination of things--softer spring rates, a little more travel and the front and rear spring rates balance the suspension a little more than the old soft IFS/firm leaf spring setup of my last truck. In short, the truck is a pleasure to drive offroad. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
sweet pics. I'm jealous. That's one place I've never been.
Brian, I am going to join you on one of your PacNW trips in the very near future, if I can!
Excellent photographs Ken. You are making me homesick, it looks like it was a great trip.
Invite me out to Hawaii for a week and I'll share the rest of the 863 photographs I took.

Awesome pics! What kind of camera do you have?
Camera is just a 4MP Olympus C-765. In some of the photos, particularly the last two, I used a Raynox DCR-6600 Pro wideangle lens on an adapter. It's kind of a qwirky setup but works fantastic.
