I have recently been bitten by the Isuzu bug and am looking for a group of folks to go out camping and trail riding with.
I have been with few different clubs in the past and helped to found one club so I am not new to the group outing thing. If there are some people interested then maybe that's just what we will do. I am in Richmond but head to OBX and up to the mountains so let me know if you are interested.
I think the family involvment is an impportant aspect though so keep that in mind. Nothing wrong with knocking out a few cold ones at the end of the day, but shareing the outdoors with our kids and letting them develop and appreciation for nature is falling by the trailside when people start falling off the cooler.
OK, More to follow!!

There are several of us in the VA area. I am in VA Beach, but I can think of two people (Anabius and Trailmystic) that are in the richmond area. You just missed the Uwharrie run last weekend.
8 inches of lift, 33s, custom bumpers and rockbars, powertrax, T-maxx 9000, lots o lights, and some bass in the trunk
Lifted, locked, and ready to rock!!!

...I can think of two people (Anabius and Trailmystic) that are in the richmond area. Make that at least THREE in the Richmond area -- well, pretty soon, anyhow... (* and that's if you don't count Matt and the owner of that VX on 36s ) Miss Kathy and I just got off the phone a few minutes ago, taking care of a few details -- if all goes well, it looks like we might have ourselves a starter house in a North RVA/South Henrico neighborhood pretty soon -- a 2 Story, 3 BR, 1.5 Bath, on a double lot, w/ a detached 2 Car Garage. It's probably NOT where we'll stay forever, but hey, it'll give a toehold. It really is too bad that you missed the Uwharrie trip -- you missed a great one -- but the good news is that we'll be doing another trip down there in October (maybe sooner)... PLUS, I'm sure that several of us will want to get together for a smaller 4-wheeling trip, somewhere, well before then. Just keep watching this forum; I'm sure something will come along soon enough
Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

You can PM and I would be willing to give you a call if we are heading out. Like they said uwharrie is a great starter event.

Well good to see that I have someone to snatch me out when I find the limits of my stock Trooper. You guys seen to have built some serious toys to play with. I will just have to try and sweet talk the wife into increasing my vehicle budget.
Since there isn't an Isuzu club in VA, the question becomes do whe want to start one or just avoid stuctured play time!
Whatever the case maybe, I look forward to getting out on the trail with you all.
Thanks!

I'm up in the Fairfax area. Have a Raider but it may be leaving soon for a yota of some sort.

I'm thinking of a trip the end of May.
Location is open to suggestions, however a campground with good, CLEAN, facilities is a must. We like to go camping however, I don't want to give my family any reason not to want to go again!
It will be the first outing for my Trooper so the trail must be not be to extreme. I have been down a trail or two in my former 4-wheeling life so I am OK but, if I tear up the truck before I have made three payments on it my wife may kill me.
Let me know who is interested.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it myself (I'm moving to RVA about then )... But there's some chatter about Uwharrie in June. If you stay off of Rocky Mountain Loop and Daniel (the two hardest trails), and watch your lines, your Trooper should come away from the trip with little-more than a few scraped skid plates Oh, and... If you get in there early enough in the morning, Arrowhead Campground's bathhouse is *usually* pretty clean. ( for a campground bathroom, anyhow )

Well,
The trip has been postponed till next month. However the idea of a Uharie trip in June is promising. More to come...
