When converting from the OEM auto hubs to the Aisin Manual hubs are any of the factory auto hub electronics needed? 4x4 controller relay thing on the passenger side for example
Also when not using the mikuni carb, instead using anything else including fuel injection. Is the old ECU needed and the lesser components like the vaccum box on the driver side under the hood?

You can scrap all the vacuum box things. I'd investigate a wiring diagram before doing any ECU removal.
As to the hub conversion, nothing needs to be touched or removed on the trans or t-case...leave all that stuff alone. The auto hubs are not electric or electronic. Put your new manual hubs on and happily turn the dials.

There really is no need to mess with them. The auto hubs are mechanical only. The electronics are just to tell you that the auto hubs are engaged, not that it engages them.

That's what I was thinking as well. So after installing new manual hubs I should leave the control module in place as long as the sensors in the transfer case and I think there's one in the transmission. IF I want the 4x4 light and stuff to come on or just have a system in place to confirm 4x4 it's engaged. I'll prolly leave it in my Raider

That's correct. No need to mess with it.

The cool thing is, the auto hub light will sense movement and continue to function, even when you're using manuals.

And works thus: there's a VSS in the speedo. There's another on the tcase, driven by the front output shaft. The two signals are fed to the control box, which compares them. And displays the lock light when they match.
