Doing my timing belt/water pump leak service. Truck as 183,200 miles. Valve covers off, also doing valve seals, injector service.

I know this is maybe an impossible question but should I do head gaskets now?
Not sure what the life span of head gaskets on this truck are. Maybe others experience and opinion.

Thanks.

I am of the belief that if there is no current issue, why invite trouble? I'd leave it as none of your work is disturbing the current seal.

If it were me I'd leave them alone but possibly reinforce the existing seals by adding Steel Seal to freshly flushed and plain water anti freeze (bright green stuff, buy online, no clogging particles). Can't hurt from what I've read. Several people online and YouTube says the stuff works really well most the time.

I have used Steel Seal on three different vehicles, including one 2.6 and love the stuff.
