Need a Spot
Readying my locked up 2.6 for removal. Have a long block ready to go back in. My first engine removal/ replacement. Have intake off with carb attached. Balancer off , Radiator out etc. Will remove exhaust manifold next.
I'm just looking for any advice on separating and mating back the engine and tranny. Such as, can the tranny remain bolted in place or do its mounts need to be loosened ?
Thanks in advance

Body Damage is Cool
Yes, transmission can be left alone. If you can come up with a couple of extra bolts that go into the alignment dowels, then cut the head off, put a slot in them, to make them alignment pins, will make it easier. Especially it is an automatic.
