I've searched all over the web and almost all the references to 4jg2b engines come from this forum. From what I've read there are a few guys on here that really know their stuff!!! I have a 4jg2b-a diesel industrial engine, came from a junk forklift, it was a good running engine I picked it up because it was a good deal. It's been in my shop for a few years and I'd really like to do something with it. I'd like to drop it in some little truck or SUV just to drive around the valley (town is twenty miles away) drive around the ranch trips to town to pickup fuel and parts. My initial thoughts I'll build a motor adapter plate bolt it into either an old s10 or ram 50 I have parked out here maybe even an or scout 80 Recently several Isuzu and Mitsubishi suvs have popped up,for sale it got me thinking ---- if any of these transmissions might bolt to my engine? Does anyone know of any transmission or bellhousing that might bolt up to this industrial engine? The starter is on the drivers side of the engine at about the 10:00 position I know this is a complete waste of time so I don't need anyone telling me I'm stupid for doing it and all the draw backs --- winters coming and I'll take on a dozen "stupid projects" to keep myself busy Thanks in advance for any constructive advice
