This may be obvious to some but tips like this are what really saves time on projects. I remember reading about some poor soul who spent hours trying to get the swaybar bushings off (the part that sticks to the lower control arm). I got mine off within minutes using this method.

Block off your cv boot/axle/shock with tin foil as a shield. Then use MAP gas torch to burn up the bushing in a well ventilated area, you have to burn out the area that is fused with rubber but it shouldn't take too long. I just had a small flame after heating it and blew it out after like 15 seconds or less. Take vice grips and work it back and forth and outward at the same time. You have to grip them on there pretty tight. Mine slid right off.

Is there a reason why it doesn't just come off using a ratchet on the bolt?
