Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hello, I'm thinking of putting a header on my 87 2.6l., will the carb jetting be okay with it or will it run lean? Also i'll be removing the CAT. Thank you for any info

You will want to jet up

There is actual Mitsubishi advice in the Colt Rallye manual, available for download at Mitsubishilinks.com

Thanks, it looks like that's for the side draft carbs. do you have any idea where I could buy an up jet for this carb?

I've not followed these links, yet. Have you found a jet solution?

Well the guy at guaranteed carburetors said the computer would adjust itself for the header, but I'm not sure how it would do that. So I went with the Weber setup from Recarb out of Australia with a new fuel pump as well.

The feedback carb system is very basic compared to newer FI systems.

With a Weber, the header solution is solved. You have no emission testing in the home area? If you, put a turbo muffler behind the header sans cat and have that much more flow.

Also, there are lots of tech articles about the Weber conversion on this site, you'll just have to scare them up with the Search.
