Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread Tailgate Hinge Assembly: Part No & Diagram? #1104832 01/30/19 08:17 PM Joined: May 2006 Posts: 59 Vancouver, BC C Crops OP Getting the Wheeling Fever Hi Guys -- my tailgate hinge assembly in my 95SR seems to be failing - the (I think) plastic bushing inside the hinge assembly has deteriorated and the metal pin has rusted and possibly broken (the upper hinge). The lower hinge seems to be bearing the weight and the upper hinge seems to be floating... see photos here: Does anyone have a better diagram for this assembly? or part numbers for the internal bushings (if that's what I need) or any spec on them? When I look at this diagram I do t see anything that looks like the hinge components beyond the fact that the have a ÔÇ£hingeÔÇØ.... would this suggest that the upper hinge for example is an assembly (the pins and bushings etc) and the diagram just doesnÔÇÖt look like what I expect (that the sketch isnÔÇÖt particularly accurate). Many thanks. EDIT: When I google the part number I get pictures of the hinges as an assembly so my assumption is the diagram is just not particularly accurate with respect to showing the part correctly.
