First, I have not posted in years, work and graduate school took over all my time.
On my 1998 LWB when I push the unlock button on the FOB it instantly locks again.
So I was locked out of my own truck. I finally timed it right and got the door open in
the split second before it locked again. I pulled the fuse and the next weekend
I pulled both front door panels looking for the issue with no joy. I'm starting to think
the FOB has issues. Any ideas ?

I'm having the same issue on my 95SR - most likely it's related to dirty contacts/switches inside the door lock mechanism. I'm going to suggest you check out and clean (deoxit) the passenger side first. Just an hunch.

The cleaning of contacts and switches is a fairly straight forward task; provided you use the correct cleaning agent! I make liberal use of Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning needs especially where dusts accumulation may be a factor. I also have had similar types of issues with door locks.
