What would be the problem if I removed and capped off the EGR Pipe Flange on the drivers side Exhaust manifold and the air intake Plenum on my 1989 v6?
Besides tripping the check engine light???? Worse gas mileage?? Misfiring??? Nothing???

I have capped/bypassed EGR on multiple vehicles with no adverse effect. I doubt the mitsu v6 is any different.

Hi Polar, I removed the pipe and valve from the exhaust manifold and placed a quarter in there and screwed the nut back in.
