Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have a 94 Rodeo and thing of doing a SAS with 35 or 36 X12.5/15. How was the clearance for wheels and tires achieved? When SAS was installed did you get all the lift from leaf springs or was a body lift used also:p

I run 36x12.50 R16 TSL Radials on my 95.5 Rodeo. Fitting those tires is not a big deal... though any larger and you'll have to reshape the fender wells, which presents many problems due to the rear doors.

I'm running SOA front/rear, with stock 7 leaf waggy springs + 1 full length addaleaf up front and stock 56" chevy springs w/ 2" blocks in the rear.

Now, i also have a 3" BL, but for anyone who's seen my truck, i sit well above those tires, so i doubt this would be necessary. For me, its way more trouble to take the body lift off.

I do have some picts of my entire SAS process you can see here: http://www.apptechnc.net/~gorrellrw/rodeo/imgs/mods_sas/

By the time I'm done with school, my project car is complete & my Trooper is paid off (-2 years), the wife gave me the go-ahead for an SAS on the Troop, however... I have no fabrication skills <img border="0" alt="[Nerd]" title="" src="graemlins/nerd.gif" /> and can't weld. How long of a process was it to remove/install everything & would anybody be willing to come down & help. I know this is a ways off but I'm counting down and trying to plan ahead.
Thanks for the help.
-Todd

Removing was the easier part, putting the new suspension back on is more difficult, specifically the measuring/double checking that everything is in the correct spots before you weld.

Yes, i'd be willing to help you out anyway i can, pending i have free time of course.

My Rodeo does not have a body lift and I am running 35's. My fenders got a little manicure with the Sawzall. Trimmed off 1 1/2 inches. It took a little bondo to clean it up before we repainted it. With the rubber fender trimmings you can't tell it was ever relieved. Ya see I had this problem stuffing my tires into the back of the fender while standing it on it's nose going into Helldorado Canyon last year. Hence the trimming. And I did eventually moved my axle forward 1 1/2 inches forward from stock location too.
The front springs are still a little soft but it flexes good at slow speed.
I'll put up some pictures Saturday. Had to make the Albumn public. Takes 24 hours.
Uh! What else did you ask for?

It pushes back the mating point for the front driveshaft. Do you know anyone, besides me who has a SAS Isuzu Amigo, and still runs the Isuzu T-Case? I think I'm the only one.
