I still have yet to find a place that will rebuild the box.

and you haven't talked to Lakerat on PBB? Matt's a really helpful guy and I know he can rebuild Isuzu boxes as he went through mine for hydro assist.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have the Helm manual and the 1 1/2 ton truck pitman arm puller it takes to pull the arm. Have rebuilt 2 differant boxes for my number 3 Trooper three times. All started to leak after 6 weeks. Finally traded mine in for an Autozone rebuilt unit. it blew the seals after 6 months. Got it exchanged thru Autozone no questions asked. I am only runing 31 inch tires with no lift. Mechanic friend says to use redline synthetic in them. No trouble with the other three 90 troopers. Be sure to bleed all the air out of the gear box and have your front wheels off the ground when you start up the engine and slowley work the wheel back and forth to get all the air out. It is really hard to remove the top seal around the steering wheel input shaft. The book says to cap one line and blow the seal out with compressed air pressure. Good luck doing that, if the seal is blown it wont hold any air pressure ether. If you scratch the shaft you will always have a leak. Best to have or build a spaner wrench to fit the nut on the back side of the input shaft bearing retainer so the old seal can be driven out thru the front.
If you drive it with a slow leak it could turn into a big leak and take out the pump when you drive home with tank dry. Been there done that also.
Good luck and merry Christmas
