I am waiting for a set of tires and rims to arrive and wondering if my lug nuts will work with the new set up.

I have the factory Alloy rims that came on my truck's in my signature line below. I am waiting on a set of steel AR767's, I'm figuring the acorn part of the lug is inter changeable. I am not sure if the steel rims wheel stud hole area is so much thinner then an alloy rim that I my have a problem. I am thinking that because my current lugs have the capped ends I would have to get open lug nuts or bust the caps (no not the rap style bust a cap) off the ones I have.

I guess the chrome capped lug nuts might not look all that good with black rims any way???

The same lug nuts were used for both the factory alloy and factory steel wheels. You should not have any problems.

Screw it, get a set of extended length McGards and ditch the OEM acorns...you will need 5 packs to do the wheels, the spare, and have 3 left over when they are broken/missing.

Buy them over the internet...they can be had for cheap.
