 Anti Lock Brake Lite is on.

I have a 92 Mits Montero SR 3.0 Liter. The anti lock brake lite is on. It started out that the lite would come when I started the car and stay on. It would then go out if I killed the car and restarted it. At one time it would go out when I started the car and then go off one I got above 10 mph. Now it just stays on all the time. I have changed brakes, checked fluid levels, bled brakes and clean the wheel sensor on the rear. I do not know what to try next. Does the ABS pump ever go out on the vehicle?

It is probably not the pump. It is probably one of the wheel speed sensors is either going bad or came out of adjustment (assuming there is an adjustment on yours). May be an easy fix, may be a hard one. It depends on how rusted in the sensors are.

Hello, please have the G-sensor checked first. Mine was defective and the ABS light went off after replacing it.
