Getting the Wheeling Fever
finally got the 32" off my 4runner and they're rubbing like crazy...
you think would new torsions with maybe an inch or inch and a half lift help?
don't know exactly what the backspacing is on the wheels (they definitely stick out more), but the tires rub the mudflaps - just barely on full lock right turns, but crazy on full lock left. im wanna keep the flaps though (sick of the water splashed doors i always had on the runner).

I too am running 32" BFG tires on 15x8 rims with 4" backspacing (stock is 4.5"). What I had to do is crank up the torsion bar by .75", and remove the mud flaps. Even so, I had to becareful whenever turning into a steep parking lot. If you really must keep your mud flap, you'll need to crank up the torsion bar by at least 1". For now, I'm happy with it as it only rubs less than 1% of the time. I plan on doing a body lift and suspension lift later this year.

Body Damage is Cool
I put 32 SSRs on this spring with 2 inch leaves in the rear and the torsion bars (Rancho) raised about 1.5 up front. The rims are 3.75 bs. I still had to remove about an inch of the front fender up to the arch, cut the fenderliner back and pounded the seam flat. I threw away the mudflaps when I still had 31s. I had rub until I started cutting.

IMHO, if you get to cutting, use a jigsaw with a high tpi metal blade. Mask the fender where the foot of the saw will run. Much easier to control and a cleaner cut than you'll get with a sawzall.

If you want to do any wheeling, and you don't want to be rubbin' like crazy, I'm pretty sure you need to put at least 2" on there to clear your 32"s. I can still get my 32" BFG AT/KOs to rub with NO mudflaps, on a BIG bump while cornering, WITH a 2" BL. They never rub on the street or pulling into driveways, though.
