Roll Me Over
we just did trdjustin's on saturday. remove the two nuts at the master cylinder under the hood. remove the pedal. remove the bolt from teh inside that goes through the firewall. pull it out. add stiffening plate to engine bay side, and put it all back together. get the two little bushings as well.

The same thing happened to me on my 96 T-100. I ordered the new pedal, and before I installed it, I welded the seams, and gusseted anything that looked weak.

Could you or anyone tell if the bracket was cracked while inspecting it still installed on the truck....96 t100 3.4 2wd, replaced clutch, master, and slave, had it bled by toyota - need a little help here....does it have to be removed for inspection?

You should be able to tell by shining a flashlight up there and looking in between the fork. You could even take a piccie with yer digital camera set on macro. Cameras have a tendency to see things with the flash that yer eyeballs can't see especially if yer old... If the flash is too bright, put a small piece of a paper towel over the flash...;) Just don't run yer bare finger over that area...too easy to git cut!

If you truly want to be sure...I'd take it off and inspect it carefully.

I believe they would be the same part. It wouldn't make sense to have a different one...kinda like a 4WD or 2WD gas pedal...

If you want to go cheap, you could probably duplicate the mod to the bracket (bigger shims) or tie a U-bracket across both ears of the bracket to the top of the plate and distribute the force across the entire plate instead of just the sides of the plate. Have someone build and weld that up fer you and you should be good to go!

The exterior door handles are different? How? I got a set from a T100 4x4 and they fit fine on my T100 4x2 without any problems...

Both were the chrome plastic ones...

well now this was according to the local toy shop, but now i can buy a chrhome set from elsewhere, question on those chromies...is it metal all the way through cause that seems to be where mine break, at the little foot, gone through two pair now,an its not as if i use a sledge to open the door.course the ones i bought were aftermarket cheapies, if you call 27$ per cheap.
