I already own a '94 4Runner. I was looking to pick up a Tacoma V6 Extracab TRD for my wife. Can you tell me what gear ratio is in your truck? I have the 4.56 in my 4Runner and hope that with the 3.4 the Tacoma offers good gearing for possible future upgrades.
------------------
94 SR5 4-Runner
135000 Miles and going strong
http://www.targetpc.com

I have a 99. 31" tires, I believe that means 4.56 with the manual tranny. It has plenty of power, including at the low end. I like the ride off road, especially at speed. It's a little long for tight spots. I was thinking of lifting it a little or putting larger tires on it, but that would mess up the handling. I'm lifting and locking up my old 85 4runner instead...

Thanks for the reply. The truck I'm considering is at Las Cruces Toyota. Go figure.

------------------
94 SR5 4-Runner
135000 Miles and going strong
http://www.targetpc.com

I have a 99 with the V6, 5-speed, and the TRD package (31" tires). I have 4.10 gears in my truck and I'm happy with the performance. Now, I'm running 35" tires and still happy with the performance but plan on switching to either 4.88 or 5.29.
------------------
beachtaco aka Randy Bombase
liv2rid@hotmail.com
1999 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 V6 Ext Cab (11" of lift, 35" BFG MT, TRD package)
Tacoma Territory Off-Road Association
TTORA Virginia Chapter
Home of the Beach Toy
