If so, you need to tap an illumination wire either the bulbs that normally light you up (solder to the board for this one) or tap the illumination wire on the stereo using a relay.

The easiest way is to tap the wire in the driver's kick panel, I want to say it's the red/black one in the bottom white 20-pin plug assembly.

This will give you power to your gauges when you turn on your parking lights or headlights only, and they are off when your lights are off.

I can get the right wire if you need it, all I'll do is remove my kick panel real quick or you can get a $3.00 tester from Radio Shack that will light up when you test the pin in the assembly and your headlights are on, that's what I did.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
What about tapping into the feed wire to your factory Instrument Illumination lights? It's the Green w/Red stipe one (NOT the red w/green stipe) that feeds the potentiometer for adjusting the intensity of those lights. On/off when you need it.

Good call dave...

the wiring diag's at bulldog's website:
http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/wires2/showmodels.asp?modelid=14366&Submit1=Get+Wiring+Details

says this is a grn/red that tests pos. located in the drivers side kick...i think the one on the knob would be easier to get to.
